The Restaurant
L’Osteria del Buonconvento
Buonconvento Restaurant is situated in the surroundings of the Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
The entire building was donated to the Dominican Nuns by the aristocratic Lady Bernardina Donnorso in the XVI century. The ancient monastery cellars host our restaurant. The entrance opens onto a splendid XVII century Neapolitan staircase which leads to the dining rooms.
The interiors are enhanced by Neoclassical style wooden columns with bronze cherub’s on top. Vie vaulted celing still maintains the original red bricks.
The flooring is a combination of handmade terracotta and maiolica tiles screated in Vietri. A typical reproduction of the Neapolitan maiolica decorations of the XVII century. The soft lighting offers an atmosphere of bygone days, and a sensation that the time has stood still.
It is in this atmosphere that we like to welcome our guests.
Welcome to the Buonconvento Restaurant.
